Our Nels Anderson Story
Instant Landscaping Company’s recent history in the northern end of Bend Oregon’s Golden Triangle Area is a follows;
In 2015 it was obvious that Hwy 97 had been built to direct traffic to a shopping mall.
Tim, one of the owners of Instant Landscaping became a member of the North 97 Realignment Citizens Advisory Committee. Huge labor and legal expenses were invested to save our City of Bend Landmark (the historic Nels Anderson house) as well as our office and business.
The new Dalles California Hwy 97 Project prompted a State of Oregon Eminent Domain Condemnation and took the land. Our doors and gates closed, and a multi -year epic team effort started.
At that time Instant Landscaping had an estimated 10,000 customers and was recognized by the Cascade Business News as one of the Top 20 Fastest Growing Businesses in Central Oregon. All of our associates loved our original location and we refused to move far from our customer base. The closing, and subsequent construction and renewed operation tasks required huge investments to move our historic house, 200 ton masonry truck shop and 40 years worth of assets.
These projects took from November of 2022 until the end of our 2025/26 fiscal year. This April is the first normal operating season we have experienced since leaving our old location. Thanks to our team and our devoted customers we are now thriving and growing fast.
